TRIXIE THE TRICKSTER TIGER KITTY
Today is “chop down a tree day”.
Except…
I could see in my minds’ eye where the axe is in the garage.
What I didn’t visualize is all the crap between me and it.
Phooey.
The hand saw it is.
The long-handled axe that has probably never been used.
I can see myself swinging it, that’s the easy part.
It’s when the blade hits the solid wood of the trunk that has me worried. Not quite like swinging a baseball bat, I’m sure.
I think I got a little lucky. Trixie wanted into the catio to finish her breakfast. There are 3 doors that I can close off completely the patio from the catio. They are now closed, which is totally pissing everyone off. and tee-hee, there’s another back door that I can use, totally by-passing the patio to get to that tree.
But, it’s break-time. My hand and arm and shoulder are starting to really “feel it.”
I can only work the saw a few minutes at a time. But, the 3 remaining main branches are gone. Now I’m starting to work on the trunk.
With the branches originally, she could just step off the branch onto the top of the catio wall.
When I removed that branch, it became a leap of about 4 to 5 feet. No problem for her. Guess I didn’t cut it down far enough.
Now the tree top is about a 7 foot leap up to the catio top.
I’ve seen her in action, and I think she would try it.
Soooo, it’s back to sawing away. I don’t have a lot of hope that I’ll finish it today, which means I’ll have to open up the doors to the catio and woosh she’ll be gone again until morning.

I think that the car furniture idea is good.
