So I have two kitties, females, who avoided the trapping for neutering/spaying. Yeah, wouldn’t you know it, females. My (bad) luck. They found a way to get in and out of the catio. I thought they were going the route that their momma cat took. Up and over to an over-hanging tree branch and away they would run.
BUT…This Sunday morning this is what I saw:
NOT the tree limb I thought they were using. These limbs also over-hang a different area and “connected” with a small Crepe Myrtle tree. I really thought that the little tree on the inside of the catio had such small branches that the cats couldn’t do this. Dang, wrong again.
Well, serendipity and coincidence would have it, there was a tree trimmer right next door trimming a tree this morning. I asked him how much he would charge to trim my tree. OUCH. Nope. Don’t have a spare $300 lying around. So I had to cut down the pretty little Crepe Myrtle all by my little old lonely. It looks like this now.
I sure do hope that the girls forgive me. I also hope that I really did solve the problem of them getting in and out.
